Health facilities cautioned not to turn away emergency cases

The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Anthony Nsiah- Asare, has asked all health facilities, under the Ghana Health Service, not to turn away any emergency case that would be brought to their facilities.

The directive follows news of a 70-year-old man, Mr Prince Anthony Opoku-Acheampong, who reportedly died, in his car, after seven hospitals turned him away over claims that there are no beds. Failure to heed to this directive will attract sanctions.
