The Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana National Fire Service, Prince Billy Anaglatey says owners of Gas filling stations have the full responsibility to check the attitude and work ethic of their staff to prevent explosions. He said, findings have indicated that, some of the causes of explosions at Gas stations are due to the negligence of workers at these stations. Speaking on GBC’s Talking Point programme October 8, Mr. Anaglate said the Fire Service cannot be at the stations on a 24-hour monitoring operation. Therefore, it behoves owners of the stations to monitor and ensure that their workers adhere to safety regulations.
