Though gone forever, the cool and calm persona of Mr. Kofi Annan will continue to linger in the minds of many, who worked with him both within the corridors of the UN at New York and on the field for the UN. These were some of the glowing tributes paid by a former deputy Secretary General of the UN, Mr. Jan Eliasson and Warrant Officer Raymond Awiah, who served in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide, when the late Mr. Kofi Annan was in charge of peacekeeping operations at the UN.
